Our History
From humble beginnings in a small retail space along Balestier to a reliable supplier in the device and pharmaceutical space, Alcare has been on quite the journey. Take a walk with us down memory lane to learn more about the highlights.
1983 – 2003
Alcare began early operations in 1983 as a retail pharmacy, working with firms such as Bayer Diagnostics, Hankintatukku and Warner-Lambert to offer an extensive range of medical supplies in Singapore.
2004 – 2009
Alcare partners leading medical device manufactuers Asahi Intecc and Kaneka Medix and successfully introduced a high-quality range of PTCA guidewires, guiding catheters, microcatheters and balloon catheters in Singapore.
2010 – 2014
Alcare collaborates with renowned companies J&J’s Cordis, Goodman Co., LTD. Nipro Corporation and Young Chemical Co., Ltd. to distribute an innovative range of medical devices and wound care products.
2015 – 2019
Alcare secure 4PL agreements for coronary and endovascular devices (Artivion, Elixir Medical), as well as therapeutic products (Advance Pharma, Schulke & Mayr).
2020 – Present
Alcare partners with leading medical device manufacturers to introduce disruptive technologies such as the Biodegradable Stents, GoBack Crossing Catheter (now the BeBack Crossing Catheter, distributed by Bentley) and Drug-Eluting Devices.

1983
Alcare Pharmaceuticals was started in 1983 as a retail pharmacy, with two outlets across Singapore, located at Balestier Plaza and Bedok.
1985 - 2003s
Alcare acquires distribution rights, wholesale and import of international brands such as Bayer Diagnostics, DFI Co. Ltd., Hakintatukku, The United Drug (1996), Warner-Lambert (Subsequently acquired by Pfizer) and W.H.P.M. Inc.
2004
Alcare secures exclusive distribution rights for Asahi Intecc.
2006
Alcare secures exclusive distribution rights for Kaneka Medix.
2013
Alcare secures exclusive distribution rights for J&J’s Cordis
2012
Alcare enters into exclusive distribution agreement for Young Chemical Co., Ltd.
2010
Alcare secures exclusive distribution rights for Goodman Co., LTD.
